Obituary for Francis William Lee Francis William Lee
World War II Veteran Served In The Army Air Corps In The South Pacific

Francis William Lee, 81, of Fairfield, died Sunday, December 16, 2007 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

He was born January 25, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York, a son of the late Frederick Lee and Irene Spina Lee.

Mr. Lee was a veteran of World War II, and served in the Army Air Corps in the South Pacific.

He is survived by his wife, Michele M. Lee; two daughters: Patricia Morris and husband, Ronald; and Alison Lee; a son, Michael Lee and wife, Regina; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Joseph D'Aurora officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Fairfield First Aid, 5885 N. Lee Highway, Fairfield, Va. 24435 or the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 221 W. Nelson St., Lexington, VA 24450.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
