Obituary for Joan Coleman Krentzlin Joan Coleman Krentzlin
Worked With Department Of The Interior, Texaco Oil Company

Joan Coleman Krentzlin, 91, of Lexington, beloved sister of Julie Anita Krentzlin, died Monday, December 24, 2007 in the Kendal Nursing Home.

She was born August 29, 1916 in Columbia, SC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, a brother and three nephews.

Joan was raised in Washington, DC., graduated from the former Central High School and attended George Washington University night school.

During her working career, she worked in the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Fish and Wildlife Service in Washington, D.C., Annapolis, MD and Charleston, SC.

After leaving government service, she worked in private industry, ending her career with the Texaco Oil Co., now Chevron Oil Company.

In addition to her sister, she is survived by a niece, two nephews, a great niece, a great nephew and three great great nephews.

Burial will be in the family plot in Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Kendal Nursing Home, Lexington.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
