Pennsylvania Native Dies At The Age Of 61
Joanne Mary Bono Conner, 61, of Buena Vista, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2007 at the Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital.
Born December 14, 1946 in Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Anthony Bono and Antoinette Picard Bono.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Bono, Jr.
Survivors include two daughters: Ginny Amato and husband, Matthew, of Thomasville, NC: and Renae Conner of Natural Bridge; a brother, James Bono of Greensboro, NC; four grandchildren: Andrew and Allison Amato, Jacob Stearns and Peira Conner; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007 at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Odell Humphries officiating.
Interment will take place in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, from 7-9 p.m. at the Lomax Funeral Home in Buena Vista.
