Obituary for Virginia T. Troxell Virginia T. Troxell
Staunton Resident Was Rockbridge County Native

Virginia Agnes (Tyree) "Ginny" Troxell, 80, wife of Glenn Wallace Troxell of 141 North Coalter Street, Staunton, died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 in the Augusta Medical Center, Fishersville.

She was born May 7, 1927 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Homer L. and Virgie (Sweet) Tyree.

Mrs. Troxell was a homemaker and a member of Walkers Creek Community Church.

In addition to her husband of 54 years, family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Delilah T. and Randy Ramsey of Fairfield; a son, Glenn David Troxell of Staunton; grandchildren: Stephen Wayne, Angela Dawn, and Glenn Edwin "Jed" Troxell all of Fairfield; step grandchildren: Nathan Ramsey and his wife, Bridget of Fairfield, Brian Ramsey of Greenville, and Anthony Ramsey and his wife, Amanda of Staunton; a great granddaughter, Baileigh Ramsey of Fairfield; four sisters and two brothers-in-law: Anna Connell of Mechanicsville, Dolly "Dot" and Rodney Sensabaugh of Middlebrook, Mildred Snider of Rockbridge Baths, and Bettie and Albert Cash of Staunton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Donna Mae and Andy Wayne Mohler and Lorine W. "Renie" Tyree; and a brother, H. Wallace Tyree.

A funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Mr. William Bearden. Burial followed in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers were Kenneth Mohler, Rodney "R.T." Sensabaugh, Jr., Eddie Sensabaugh, Barry Sensabaugh, Charlie Poole, Jr., and Larry Troxell.

Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren. The family received friends Friday, December 28, 2007 at the funeral home.
