Lawrence William Pugh, 80, of Buena Vista, died Friday, December 28, 2007 in the Avante Nursing Home, Waynesboro.

He was born April 26, 1927 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Morris Jacob Pugh and Della Beatrice Holt Pugh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Henson Pugh; a brother, Lester Pugh and a sister, Mary Coulson.

He is survived by two sisters: Elsie Miller and Geraldine McDaniel, Buena Vista; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2007 at the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bobby Presnell officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
