Obituary for Helen Agnor Reynolds Helen Agnor Reynolds
County Native Was Longtime Manly Memorial Baptist Church Member

Helen Agnor Reynolds, 86, devoted housewife of Everette D. Reynolds and loving mother, died Saturday, January 5, 2008 in the King's Daughters' Health and Rehabilitation Center in Staunton.

Mrs. Reynolds was born on July 8, 1921 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late George Abner and Lula Ayers Agnor.

She was a member of the Manly Memorial Baptist Church in Lexington since April 17, 1938.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by four brothers: Robert W. Agnor, Roger W. Agnor, Fred A. Agnor and George Denny Agnor and a sister, Jane Agnor Phillips.

Surviving in addition to her husband, to whom she was married on February 11, 1950, are a daughter: Jean Ann Reynolds Clemmer and son-in-law, Charles Latham Clemmer; two grandchildren: Charles Everette Clemmer and Mary Helen Clemmer, all of Staunton; one sister, Ruth Agnor Lackey of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2008 in the Harrison Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Joseph C. Brandon.

Burial will be private in the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery, Lexington.

It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to the Manly Memorial Baptist Church, 202 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday evening prior to the service.

The Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory, Lexington, is in charge of the arrangements.
