Obituary for James Theodore "Jimmy" Miller James Theodore "Jimmy" Miller
Modine Retiree Was Korean War Veteran

James Theodore "Jimmy" Miller, 76, of Buena Vista, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at his home.

He was born in Buena Vista on August 20, 1931, son of the late James Henry Miller and Elsie Sheltman Miller.

He was a member of the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Mr. Miller retired from Modine Manufacturing Company after several years of service.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Layne.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elsie Pugh Miller; a daughter, Brenda Presnell and husband, Bobby; three step sons: Albert Plogger and wife, Mary; Lewis Plogger and wife, Mary Ellen, all of Buena Vista; and James Plogger and wife, Barbara, of Maryville, Tennessee; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and twin great grandchildren expected in March; two brothers: Marcus Miller of Hopewell and Calvin Miller of Chesterfield; three sisters: Thelma Wilcher of Natural Bridge Station; and Mary Drain and Betty Hanser of Hopewell; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Presnell and Rev. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista.
