Kenneth Stewart, 69, of Lexington, was called home Wednesday, February 6, 2008 in Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

He was born March 12, 1938 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Joseph Cecil and Mamie Dock Stewart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Thompson Stewart; three sisters, Patricia Kenney, Mildred Dock, and Josie Jefferson; two brothers, Robert Dock and Preston Dock.

Mr. Stewart is survived by a son, Tim Stewart, of Greensboro, NC; a daughter, Marlene Carbage, of Lexington; four grandchildren, Justin Stewart, Adrian Stewart, Kiana Carbage, of Lexington, and Jasmine Lambert, of Woodbridge; a sister, Hattie Stewart, of Lexington; three brothers, Henry J. Stewart, of Petersburg, James Stewart and Leonard S. Stewart, of Lexington; a special nephew, Tommy Lewis Jefferson, of Orlando, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Revs. Melvin Woodson and Mark K. McCoy, Sr. officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
