Lester Wayne "Teddy" Dudley, 79, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2008.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clem Preston and Letta Hannah Goodwin Dudley and a son, Lester Eugene Dudley.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Hilda Marie Dudley; daughters: Linda Kennedy (Wilson Wright), Betty Dudley, Norma (Matthew) Chittum; sons: Wayne (Missy) Dudley; Roy Dudley, Lester (Brandy) Dudley, all of Lexington; grandchildren: Selena Dudley, Waylon Dudley, Dreama and David Monahan, Cheyenne Wright, Brandon Chittum, and Chelsea Chittum; great grandson, Tristan Avery Monahan; sisters: Carlos Hartley of Essex, MD; Doris Dudley and Janie Deacon, both of Buchanan; brother, Roy Dudley of Lexington; special friends, Paul Nicely and Herbert Sloan; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Feburary 15, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Buchanan Chapel of the Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, Virginia, 254-3000.
