Charles Greenlee Ailstock Sr., 71, of Lexington, died Friday, February 22, 2008.

He was born April 20, 1936 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Greenlee Rossen Ailstock and Nannie Bane Ailstock.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne, a member of the VA Defense Force and was a life member of the VFW, Covington.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Ailstock; a son, Charles G. Ailstock, Jr., Lexington; three daughters: Susan A. Ferrell, Dianna L. Bowles, Covington; and Donna A. Simpson, Clifton Forge; eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

There will be no public viewing and no services will be held.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
