Obituary for Margaret Marie H. Ballard Margaret Marie H. Ballard
County Native Was Burlington Industries Retiree

Margaret Marie H. Ballard, 93, of Lexington, died Sunday, February 24, 2008.

She was born May 23, 1914 in Rockbridge County, a daughtter of the alte charles Dorman and Virginia Clark Hayslette.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett M. Ballard; four brothers: Cardie, Charles, Clyde and Burman and two sisters: Dorothy Conner and Alma Ballard.

Mrs. Ballard was a member of the Collierstown Baptist Church and was retired from Burlington Industries with over 39 years of service.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Rosa Hayslette, Lexington; four nephews: Robert Hayslette, David Hayslette, Lester Conner, and H. W. Conner; two nieces: Janis Slough and Wanda Nicely.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gary Short officiating. Burial will follow in Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rockbridge Area Hospice, P. O. Box 948, Lexington, VA. 24450. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA. 24450.
