Bobby was an insurance salesman for more than twenty years.

At the time of his death, he was employed by Washington & Lee, where he had worked for ten years.

He always had a smile on his face and a hug and kind word for all.

He loved his family and was loved in return by them.

He was a member of the Calvary Brethren Church, where he served as an usher.

Bobby is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Jerene (Jerrie) Crickenberger Lawhorne and his daughters, Marty L. Coleman and Ginger L. Lawhorne, Ernest M. Lawhorne, and Larry D. Lawhorne; his much-loved "furry" babies, Dublin, Cayenne and Topez, who will miss his touch and voice.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the Calvary Brethren Church with Pastor Rick Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his memory to the youth ministry of the Calvary Brethren Church, 1365 Woodland Ave., Buena Vista, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
