Erskine Watson Ferguson, 79, of Buena Vista, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Golden Living Center.

He was born May 31, 1928 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Sam and Ruth Austin Ferguson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Ferguson, four brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by two sons, James Ferguson, Glasgow and David Ferguson, Roanoke; two sisters, Dot Trent, Glasgow and Catherine Camper, Roanoke; three brothers, Melvin Ferguson, Lexington, Frank Ferguson, and Boyse Ferguson, both of Buena Vista; and a trusted friend, Alease VanNess.

There will be no public funeral service, nor viewing.
