Mildred Virginia Wilmer Lynn, 76, of Buena Vista, went to be with her Lord on March 28, 2008.

She was the daughter of the late Gilliam H. and Carrie Sorrels Wilmer.

She was retired from Burlington Industries after 37 years of service.

Mrs. Lynn was a charter member of the Calvary Brethren Church where she served as choir director for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Ike S. Lynn; four brothers: Basil, Vernon, Donald and Talmage; and a nephew, Bill Wilmer.

She is survived by her children: Gregory Lynn and wife, Deborah; Sandra Lynn, Paula Lynn Irvine, Paul A. Lynn, Troy Wells and wife, Beth; grandchildren: Joy M. Hughes and husband, Mike, and their son, Nathan; Jason Irvin and wife, Kim, and children, Kara and Jackson; Shonna and Allen Buzzard, Craig E. Lynn, and Dillon Moses, Zack Wells, James Wells and Rachel Wells; nephews: Danny Wilmer and wife, Myrna; Kevin Wilmer and wife, Debbie; Wade Wilmer and wife, Donna; Ed Wilmer and wife, Ann; Ray Wilmer and wife, Terry; Steve Wilmer and wife, Bonnie; Mike Wilmer, James Lynn, Joy Lynn, David Lynn, Timmy Lynn and wife, Tammy; and Jeff Lynn; nieces: Pat and husband, Mack Sorrels; Susan Wilmer, Jane Higginbotham, Phyllis and husband, Buck Kerr; special friends: Lois Roberts, Phyllis M. Taylor and Bonnie Whitehurst.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at the Calvary Brethren Church with Pastor Rick Ramsey and Rev. Josh Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2008 at the Calvary Brethren Church, 1365 Woodland Ave., Buena Vista, Virginia.
