Obituary for Andrew Richard Hickman Andrew Richard Hickman
Andrew Richard Hickman died suddenly in Vancouver, Canada on April 7, 2008.

He is survived by his wife Joji Decolongon, and his daughter Stella Blue Hickman, of Vancouver; his parents, Cleveland and Rae Hickman of Lexington, Virginia; and sister, Diane Hickman Liss and husband, Frederick Liss of Malvern, Pennsylvania.

He was born February 27, 1957 in Vancouver. He was raised in Edmonton, Alberta and Lexington, Virginia, where he graduated from Lexington High School in 1975.

He attended Beloit College in Wisconsin and received his undergraduate degree from DePauw University in Indiana. He returned to Vancouver where he completed a masters degree at the University of British Columbia.

After his marriage to Joji Decolongon in Vancouver, the couple moved to Cincinnati where he was employed by Stolle Research and Development. Their daughter, Stella Blue, was born April 8, 1994. The family returned to Vancouver in 1998, where Andy worked as computer support technician. Andy loved all music and played and composed music for the guitar. He was a person of gentle nature who loved the out-of-doors and cared deeply for planet Earth.

He was 51 years old. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greenpeace International.
