Frank Allen Bane, 73, of Lexington, died Monday, May 5, 2008 in Lexington.

Mr. Bane was born on October 24, 1934 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late James Allen and Nellie Gracie (Davis) Bane.

He was retired as a Grocery Retailer for many years in Richmond and was a member of the Ebenezer A.R.P. Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Bane was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Higgins and a brother, James Bane.

Survivors include a son, Keith Bane of Roanoke; two daughters: Deborah Bane of Stuartsville, Virginia and Donna Marie Gupton of Henderson, North Carolina; four sisters: Mildred Gayhart, Mary McCormick and Bessie Bane, all of Lexington, and Peggy McCormick of Buena Vista; and one granddaughter.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2008 in the Harrison Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. James Rogers.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
