Charles Beltran Golden Sr., 78, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at his residence.

He was born June 17, 1929 in Mt. Liberty, West Virginia, a son of the late George and Blanche Fisher Golden and was husband to the late Bertie Corley Golden.

He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

Mr. Golden Sr. was a member of the Church of Christ in Lexington, Virginia.

He is survived by one brother, Ira Paul Golden and one sister, Wanda Van Zant.

Mr. Golden Sr. is also survived by six children: Pamela and husband Peter Slowkowski, Charles B. Golden Jr. and wife Trina, Sherri Rae Fridley, Mary M. Kelly, Rebecca Raynal and husband, John M., David W. Golden and wife Kathy, as well as 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Mr. Golden will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
