Samuel Lewis McManama, 72, of Raphine, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at his residence.

He was born in Buena Vista on March 21, 1936.

He was the son of the late Alfred McManama and Eva Blanche Gilbert Parker.

Mr. McManama was employed by Wilco/Hess Truck Stop.

He is survived by his wife, Joy (Bonnie) McManama of Raphine; four daughters: Debra Kay Dudley, Delores Fay Brown, Diane Petatelli and Denna Ray McManama, all of Roanoke; a step son, Monty Smith of Lexington; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 3 p.m. at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
