Obituary for Cathy Coleman Agnor Cathy Coleman Agnor
Cathy Coleman Agnor, 55, of Gladstone, passed away Friday, June 13, 2008, at Lynchburg General Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, of 38 years, Garvis Joseph Agnor.

Born December 6, 1952, in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Russell D. Coleman and is survived by her mother, Lorraine Noels Coleman, of Buena Vista.

A granddaughter, Abbigail Agnor also preceded her in death.

She was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and belonged to the UMW at Sardis Church.

Survivors also include two sons, Joey Agnor and wife, Penny, of Amherst, and Robbie Agnor and fiancˇe, Brandy Kerr, of Amherst; three brothers, Ronnie Reid and wife, Shirley, Junior Reid and wife, Shirley, and Larry Coleman and wife, Brenda; five sisters, Brenda Hostetter and husband, Carl, Sheila Layton and husband, A.H., Patsy Vest and husband, Ernie, Linda Lilly and husband, Frank, and Brenda Corbin, all of Buena Vista; two grandchildren, Mike and Ryan "Hootie" Agnor; special sister-in-law, Patsy Agnor, and a niece, Kim Holdren.

A graveside service was conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2008 at Briarwood Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. John H. Bartee, Jr.

The family received friends Sunday, June 15, 2008 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel and at other times at the residence.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Sardis UMC, or to Amherst Life Saving Crew.
