Randall Thomas (Randy) Cochran, 50 of Buena Vista, died Sunday, June 29, 2009 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Lexington on March 19, 1958, a son of Betty Sandidge Cochran of Buena Vista and the late George Caswell Cochran.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Willie "WIld Bill" and Kathleen Sandidge; an aunt, Sandra Brantley, and a nephew, Scott Arie Burch.

Randy loved his daughter dearly and his family. He enjoyed going to the Cochran home place on the mountain, bluegrass music, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his mother, he is surved by his daughter, Heather Nicole "Runt" Cochran; the mother of his daughter, Becky Cochran; his brothers and sister: Michael A. Cochran and wife, Diane; Wayne N. Cochran and wife, Dawn; Jeff Cochran and wife, Michelle; Charlene Graves and husband, Rick; several nephews and nieces, cousins and family members.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in the chapel of the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home in Buena Vista. The family will receive friends following the service.
