Ben Salem Presbyterian Church Member Was Rescue Squad Auxiliary, Ruritan Club Member

Jacqueline Holland Slough, 83, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 in Loyalton of Roanoke.

She was born October 23, 1924 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Ardell Holland and Nettie McElroy Holland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis H. Slough; four brothers: Bronson Holland, Odell Holland, T. Rufus Holland and Jay Holland; two sisters: Virginia Harrison and Hilda Austin.

Mrs. Holland was a life-long member of the Ben Salem Presbyterian Church. She was a past member of the Buena Vista Rescue Squad Auxiliary and of the Ben Wesley Ruritan Club.

Surviving are a son, Ronnie L. Slough and wife, Susan, of Buena Vista; a daughter, Bonnie Martin and husband, C. Hampton of Roanoke; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Margaret Holland and Hester Holland.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the Ben Salem Presbyterian Church with Rev. Larry Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
