Obituary for Bruce Arnold Byrd Bruce Arnold Byrd
Served With The U.S. Army In Post-War Korea

Bruce Arnold Byrd, 62, died Friday, July 25, 2008 at The Manor Natural Bridge.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank; his mother, Violet (Nash); two sisters: Janice and Phyllis (Byrd) Boynton.

A graduate of Shenandoah Valley Academy in New Market, Bruce served in the army post-war Korea. He was then employed by National Airlines, married briefly, and attended classes at the University of Maryland.

His disability brought him home to Buena Vista.

Surviving are two brothers: Gordon (Barbara) of Stevensville, Michigan and Richard (Patricia recently deceased) of New Castle, Indiana.

Burial of ashes will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Buena Vista.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
