Dorothy McDaniel Snow, 70, of Buena Vista, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008.

She was born July 16, 1938, in Buena Vista, a daughter of the late Lewis and Indiana Wheeler McDaniel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Snow; and eight brothers and sisters.

Surviving are three daughters, Brenda Cleek and husband, Brad, of Liberty, NC, Claudia Chittum and husband, Mike, of Hampton, and Cindy Staton and husband, Butch, of Buena Vista; one son, Michael Campbell and wife, Becky, of West Point, VA; two sisters, Hattie Fitzgerald and husband, Clarence, of Buena Vista, and Rachael Young, of CA; one brother, Homer McDaniel, of Buena Vista; seven grandchildren, Leecy, Christy, Michele, Brad, Ernie, Michael and Sara Gail; ten great-grandchildren, Madeline, Cameron, Jenna, Schylar, Shelby, Jason, Cassie, Janie Marie, Sid and Ethan; special caregiver, Annie McNeil; many nieces, nephews and friends; and the many children she cared for.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2008, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dean Staton and the Rev. Sonny Wilhelm officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2008, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Va.
