Grace Juanita Funk "Debbie" McCurdy, 76, of Lexington, died July 30, 2008 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born October 18, 1931 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Edgar Funk and Ada Hackler Funk.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph William (Joe Billy) McCurdy; four brothers, Walter, Fred, Paul, and Kermit Funk.

Surviving are a son, Mark McCurdy and wife Sheila, of Lexington; a special nephew, Roger Smith, of Lexington; two grandchildren, Jason McCurdy, Jodi Rowsey and husband, Brian, all of Lexington; two great-grandchildren, Trey and Trent Rowsey; a brother, Wint Funk; and three sisters, Lola, Edith and Lee.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Skip Hastings and Rev. Horace Douty officiating. Burial will follow in Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
