Van Sampson Rogers, 88, of Buena Vista, died Monday, August 4, 2008.

Born November 8, 1919, he was the son of the late Frank and Georgeanna Burch Rogers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Wilson Rogers and a son, Steven L. Rogers.

Surviving are two sons: Freddie Rogers, Lexington and Jerrry Rogers, Buena Vista; three daughters: Sharon Conner, Shirley Clark and Beulah Ruley, all of Buena Vista; one sister, Vera Mae Wilson, Buena Vista; twenty-seven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at the Green Hill Cemtery at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 7, 2008.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel, Buena Vista, Virginia.
