Obituary for Helen Niceley Spencer Helen Niceley Spencer
Was Active Member Of Christ Episcopal Church

Helen Niceley Spencer left this earth to be with jesus on August 29, 2008.

Helen was a resident of the Morningside in Richmond, Virginia.

She was formerly of Buena Vista, Virginia, where she was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church and partipcated in many charitable activities.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Spencer; her parents, Louis and Ann Niceley; her sisters: Jean Niceley and Evelyn Tumage and husband, Henry Tumage.

Surviving her are a nephew, Walter Tumage and wife, Mary Sue; a grand nephew, Brian Turnage and Wife Michelle; and sons Justin and Brandon, all of Richmond. Also surviving is a grand niece, Mary Anne Kennedy and husband, Alfred, and their sons, Aidan and Alfred of Savanna, Georgia.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Fergerson officating. Interment will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 1, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Christ Episcopal Church in Buena Vista or to your favorite charity in Helen's name would be a cherished remembrance.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
