Obituary for Warren H. Slough Warren H. Slough
Letter Carrier Was Veteran, Former B.V.F.D. Member

Warren H. Slough, 87, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

He was born November 21, 1920, son of the late Horace P., Sr. and Mary Emma Holt Slough.

He was a World War II veteran. He ws a member of St. John's United Metodist Church, a Sunday School treasurer, C. E. Page Bible Class, and was a retired member of the Buena Vista Fire Department.

He was a letter carrier, retiring in 1981 and was a member of Branch #524 of the National Association of Letter Carriers, Roanoke, Virginia.

He is survivied by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn J. Slough; one sister-in-law, Descie Slough; nieces: Mrs. Elsie Floyd, Mrs. Kim Austin, Mrs. Brenda Vassar and Mrs. Skipper Oliver and other nieces and nephews, along with many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at the Green Hill Cemetery with Rev. John Chol officiating. The family will receive friends any time at the home.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
