Pamela Staton Lawhorn, 53, of Buena Vista, died Thursday, September 18, 2008 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 17, 1955 in Lexington, a daughter of Bobby Staton and wife, Shelby, of Fairfield and Phyllis Risser and husband, Bob, of New York.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Jenny Drake.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Richie Lawhorn; two sons: Craig Lawhorn and wife, Brooke, of Lexington; and Shane Lawhorne and wife, Kay, of Buena Vista; six grandchildren; one brother, Jeff Staton and wife, Missy, of Buena Vista; a special aunt, Joan Burch and husband, "Pig"; and many other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2008 at the First Brethren Church with Pastor Christian Becker officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 21, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. at the Bolling, Gross & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
