Hilda Maxine Spangler, 59, of Buena Vista, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 at her home.

Born June 12, 1949 in Buena Vista, Virginia, she was the daughter of Evelyn D. Taylor of Buena Vista and the late Charles D. Taylor Sr.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children: Melissa D. Spangler of Buena Vista; and Crystal T. Clark and husband, Calvin, of Buena Vista; a grandson, Michael Parker; brothers and sisters: Charles D. Taylor Jr. and wife, Betty, of Richmond, VA; Kenneth R. Taylor; Janice Walter and husband, Don; Ricky Taylor and wife, Kay; Thomas D. Taylor, all of Buena Vista; and lifetime friend, Tommy Spangler.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dean Staton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
