Robert Jordan Shoemaker, of Lexington, died at his home Thursday morning (October 16, 2008).
He was born January 3, 1931, the son of Charlie Basil Shoemaker and Ruth McCormick Shaw Shoemaker.
A daughter, Debbie Shoemaker Brown, also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Shoemaker; a son, Robert Jordan Shoemaker, II; three sisters: Lula Sorrels, Mabel Frieson of Buena Vista and Elizabeth "Tibby" Hartless, of Lexington; one brother, John Shoemaker of West Virginia. Robert is also the proud uncle of 21 nieces and nephews; 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
There will be no service or visitation.
Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
