Obituary for Edna Weddle Danner Edna Weddle Danner
Was Natural Bridge Gatehouse Salesperson For 30 Years

Edna Weddle Danner, 95, of Natural Bridge, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008.

She was born August 2, 1913 in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Edgar Morris Weddle and Effie Webber Weddle.

Edna was a member of the Natural Bridge Baptist Church.

She was also a salesperson at the Natural Bridge gatehouse for 30 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edwin Danner; and a daughter, Janet D. Painter.

Edna is survived by four grandchildren: Paula Painter of Natural Bridge; Linda Painter of Blacksburg; Paul Painter of Williamsburg, VA; and Eric Painter of Murfreesboro, TN.

She is also survived by three great grandchildren: Joseph, Richard and Scarlet Painter.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at the Sherwood Memorial park in Salem, Virginia, with the Rev. Randy Smith officiating. Friends may gather with the family on Monday night from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
