Covington Woman Dies After Auto Accident

Kristi Lynn Knotts Humphreys, age 25, of 710 S. Monroe Street, Covington, Virginia died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor.

Born January 3, 1983 in Winchester, Virginia, she was a daughter of Warren Brown and Karen Katherine Knotts.

She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Brian Center Nursing Care in Fincastle and a former employee of the Alleghany Community Service Board, a former manager for Hardees of Clifton Forge, and also worked for Health Care of Virginia.

She is survived by her husband, Shawn Wilson Humphreys; two sons, Jonkel David Knotts Humphreys and Shaheem Carey Knotts Humphreys, all of Covington; her mother, Karen Katherine Knotts of Covington, her "Dad", Marion C. Woodard of Clifton Forge; her father, Warren Brown; a half brother, Jermain Brown; and a half sister, Jamie Brown, all of Winchester; a sister, Amy Leigh Burns and husband Dwayne of Covington; grandfather, Dale David Knotts, Sr. of Auburn, GA; maternal grandmother, Stella Mae Meade Knotts of Clifton Forge; an uncle, Dale David Knotts II and wife, Rebecca of Clifton Forge; a step brother, Jeremy Woodard of Clifton Forge; many family members and close friends from the Covington and Alleghany Highlands area, and also the Winchester area.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Samuel Anderson officiating.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her brother, Dale David Knotts II, 724 Palace Blvd, Clifton Forge.
