Gladys Irene Sorrells Talbert, age 82, of The Golden Living Center, Clifton Forge, died Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at The Golden Living Center.

She was born August 5, 1926 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Charles William and Sofia Jane Wood Sorrells.

She was a homemaker throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Benny Eugene Talbert; a sister, Ella Robinson; and a brother, Charles Eugene "Gene" Sorrells.

She is survived by a son, Larry Talbert and wife Patty of Covington; a daughter-in-law, Donna Talbert; two sisters: Mrs. Jerry (Ethel) Thorne of Fairfield and Mrs Robert (Della) Mayo of Buena Vista; a sister-in-law, Shirley Sorrells; and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge handled the arrangements. There will be no services at this time.
