James William (Bear) Copland, 74, of Covington, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at his residence.

Mr. Copland was born February 12, 1934 in Washington, D.C., the son of the late James Hunter Copland and Evelyn Tavfnner Copland. He was the husband of Clara Jerman Copland.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Doug E. Hollenbeck officating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

The familly will receive friends on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.
