Samuel Judson Turner, 69, of Lexington, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

He was born May 18, 1939 in Amherst, a son of the late William and Myrtle Tanner Turner.

Surviving are his wife, Dorie Turner; two daughters: Wanda Turner and Kimberly Turner and husband, Dewayne Bane; three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Turner Family Cemetery, Naola.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
