Jake Alfred Clark, age 66, of Buena Vista, died Monday, December 29, 2008.

He was born April 7, 1942 in Amherst County, a son of the late Ashby Lincoln Clark and Lelia Sorrells Clark.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Eugene, Lewis and Edward Clark; one granddaughter.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Staton Clark; four sons: B. Keith Clark, Dale S. Clark, Kevin G. Clark and Gary A. Clark, all of Buena Vista; four sisters: Margaret Coleman, Ruth Sorrells, Mary Smith and Frances Walker; two brothers: Thomas Clark and Frank Clark; four grandchildren.

Services and burial will be private.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2009 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funera Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia.
