Charlie Boward Bryant, 82, of Natural Bridge, died Thursday, January 1, 2009 in Stonewall Jackson Hospital.
He was born August 8, 1926 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Clinton Clyde Bryant and Sally Ann Padget Bryant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Catherine Brown Bryant.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathy B. Bennington and husband, Roger of Natural Bridge and long-time good friend, Virginia Lowe.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2009 at Glasgow Cemetery with Rev. William Thomas officiating.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Arrangements are being handled by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
