Sydney Alexi Liggins, 34, formerly of Covington, died, January 8, 2009 at Springfield, MO.

He was born May 27, 1974 in Covington, a son of Kitty Francesa Halsey of Clifton Forge and Robert S. Liggins of Covington.

Sydney was preceded in death by grandparents, James and Margaret Halsey, cousin Michael Liggins and two uncles, James O.Halsey, Jr. and Donnie ALlen Halsey.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his daughter, Makia Liggins of Roanoke; one sister, Angelica Melvin of Clifton Forge; his stepmother, Sarita Liggins of Covington; paternal grandpsrnets, James and Alice Liggins of Covington; aunts, including Sue Halsey and Shelia Halsey, both of Maryland; Wanda Liggins of New Jersey; uncles, including James Dorcey Liggins of New Jersey and a number of cousins and other family members.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will occur one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
