Obituary for Caroline Broughman Morgan Caroline Broughman Morgan
Lifelong Homemaker Was C.F. Baptist Church Member

Caroline Broughman Morgan, age 69, of 613 Thornton Ave, Clifton Forge, died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

She was born July 15, 1939 in Selma, Virginia, a daughter of the late Leonard and Josephine "Sis" Broughman Paitsel.

She was a homemaker throughout her life and a member of Clifton Forge Baptist Church.

She had a great love for her family, especially the grandchildren. She loved spending time at her place at Holden Beach in North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Estelle Broughman and a brother-in-law, Vernon Spinks.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Roy Morgan of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Andrea Collins and husband, Bill of Staunton; two sons: Steven Edward Morgan of Clifton Forge and Brent Morgan and wife, Karen of Stuarts Draft; four sisters: Patsy Broughman and husband, Eugene of Virginia Beach; Linda Spinks of Selma; Shelia McKinley of Newburg, Indiana; and Lisa Paitsel of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren: Justin Morgan, Tommy Lee Morgan, Derek Morgan, and Brenna Collins; two brothers-in-law, Lonnie Morgan and wife, Judy of Covington and Charles Morgan and wife, Sandy of Texarkana, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend J. Glenn Linthicum officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor.

Pallbearers will be Timmy Morgan, Kevin Morgan, Greg Ratliff, Chris Spinks, Steven Spinks, Tony Cahoon, Donald Wolfe, and Phillip White. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home and other times at the Morgan residence, 613 Thornton Ave, Clifton Forge. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, Alleghany Highlands Division, Karen Buzzard, 807 McCormick Blvd, Clifton Forge, VA 24422 or to the American Heart Association, ATTN: Joy Weeks, Memorial Chairman, 2212 Dressler Drive, Covington, VA 24426.
