Obituary for Earl Evans Tinsley, Jr. Earl Evans Tinsley, Jr.
U.S. Army Veteran Was Retired Molder

Earl Evans Tinsley, Jr., age 60, of 115 Chessie Avenue, Low Moor died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville.

Born October 3, 1948 in Virginia, he was a son of the late Earl Evans Tinsley, Sr. and Annie Ruth Clark Tinsley.

He served in the United States Army and was a retired molder from the former Parker-Hannafin.

He loved hunting and fishing.

He is survived by a son, Earl Evans Tinsley III and his companion, Amy of Clifton Forge, a grandson, Blake Evans Tinsley of Clifton Forge; a sister, Mary T. Drumheller of Crozet; an aunt, Lucille Moran of Salem; an uncle, Jerry L. Van Ness of Salem; many good friends, including special friend Donnie "Kooter" Lawhorn; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Roger Bush officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, 304 Karnes Road, Low Moor, VA 24457 or to The American Cancer Society, Alleghany Highlands Division, c/o Karen Buzzard, 807 McCormick Boulevard, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
