Harry Dale Barker, 66, of Covington, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at his residence. He was formerly of Lookout, WV.

Mr. Barker was born April 19, 1942 in Lansing, West Virginia, a son of the late Herbert and Molly Thompkins Barker.

He was member of the 1961 graduating class of Ansted High School at Ansted, WV.

Mr. Barker had retired as a route salesman from the Flowers Bread Company after 25 years of employment.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Janice Wilson and three brothers, Hugh Thomas Barker, Herbert Franklin Barker and Hubert Paul Barker.

Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Arnold Persinger of Covington; his son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Tina Barker of Bedford; four grandchildren; one great granddaughter; three sisters: Mildred Pearl Day of Berkley Springs, WV; Doris Gilkerson and her husband, Don, of Burgoo, WV; and Norma Shuff and her husband, Robert, of Lansing, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Mr. Barker's wishes, his body had been cremated.

A private scattering service will be held by the family at a later date.
