Florence Esther Fredin, 87, of Lexington, Virginia, died Saturday, February 21, 2009 in Kendal of Lexington.

Born in Leola, SD on December 12, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Harold C. Baumgartner and Ida Yost Baumgartner.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Dale C. Fredin Sr. and one grandson, Jeffrey L. Cox.

She is survived by four sons: Curt Fredin and Skip Hess of Lexington; David Moore and Doug Smith of Covington; one daughter, Judi Cox (Buster) of Middletown, Ohio; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Fredin was a member of the Lexington Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. William Klein officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
