John M. Noblett, 82, of Lexington, died Wednesday, February 25, 2009 in Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

He was born March 20, 1926 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Glen and Bertha Wilcher Noblett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Leona Hunter; a brother, Carl, and one grandson.

Surviving are his wife, Hazel Noblett of Lexington; a daughter, Patricia Havenstrite and husband, Robert; one son, Earnest Noblett, all of Arkansas; a sister, Mandy Hodges of Natural Bridge Station; four grandchildren/

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Claude Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
