Sarah Frances Littrell, age 71, of The Woodlands Nursing Home, Clifton Forge, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor.

Born March 16, 1937 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Robert S. and Josephine Harris Littrell.

She was a retired bookkeeper for First National Bank of Clifton Forge and was a member of Clifton Forge Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a half sister, Diane Williams.

She is survived by a sister, Mary Etta Tiffany and husband, Bill of Clifton Forge; two nieces, Amy Tiffany of Berryville and Karen Benoit and husband, George of Clifton Forge; a nephew, Robert Tiffany of Covington; great niece and nephews, Brett Benoit, Amanda Benoit, and Derek Benoit of Clifton Forge; and a number of cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Virgil Woodie and Reverend Bill Hartsfield officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor.

Pallbearers will be George Benoit, Glenn Jones, Brett Benoit, and those selected from friends and family attending the service. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Mary Etta and Bill Tiffany, 1506 Linden Ave, Clifton Forge.The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Susan G.
