Obituary for Carol Sue Morgan Carol Sue Morgan
Hardee's Restaurant Cook Dies At Age 55

Carol Sue Morgan, 55, of 608 East Dewey Street, Covington, Virginia, died Friday, March 13, 2009.

She was born September 2, 1953, in Clifton Forge, a daughter of the late Rev. James Morgan, Jr. and Annie Mae Scott Morgan.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Edwards and a brother, Lawrence Morgan.

She had been employed as a cook with the Hardee's restaurant in Covington for a number of years. She also was a caretaker for the elderly and was currently a sitter for Mrs. Edna Friel.

She was a member of the Concerned Christians Baptist Church where she served on the Hospitality Committee.

Surviving are her son, DeShawn Cassells of Covington; three sisters: Joyce Morgan of Covington; Nancy Snead and her husband, Robert, of Hampton; and Madeline Johnson and her husband, Dale, of Midlothian; three brothers: James Morgan and his wife, Alisa, of Clifton Forge; Timothy Morgan and Rev. Paul Morgan and his wife, Curley, all of Richmond; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the Concerned Christians Baptist Church with the Rev. William O. Hickman, III, officiating.

Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Roy Carter, Gary Twitty, James Smith, James Barber, Robert Spencer, Harry Johnson, Maurice Barksdale and Ralph Fitzpatrick.

Alternate pallbearers will be Clint Spencer, Ira Dobson, Sherman Holloway, Lee Wayne Holloway and Hillary Kelley.

Friends may pay their respects at Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia, at any time. The family will receive their friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
