Frances Southers Beverley, 72, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, March 22, 2009 in Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

She was born August 12, 1936 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Obie and Catherine Southers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Dorsey and Bruce Clark, Blair, Grant, Daniel, Charles and James Clevenger; sisters, Teresa Sorrells, Betty Hagerman, Dorothy McCallister and Susie Clevenger; and a daughter, Alicia Beverley Campbell.

Mrs. Beverley was a resident of Rockbridge County all of her life. She was loved by her family and friends, and the world is a better place as a result of her life. May God bless her soul.

Surving are her husband, Roy A. Beverley; two children, Thomas Beverley and wife, Susan and Timothy Beverley and wife, Kathy, all of Buena Vista; son-in-law, Roy Wayne Campbell of Buena Vista; sisters, her twin, Jennie Kulp of Buena Vista and Margaret McGuffin of Roanoke; grandchildren, Tonya Beverley and Bobby of Buena Vista, Megan Duff and Jonathan of Lexington, Joanie Beverley and Aaron of Glasgow, Mary, Jonathan, and Cody Beverley, all of Buena Vista; great grandchildren, Lillee Purcell of Lexington and Sydney Knick of Glasgow.

There will be a family gathering from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
