Frieda Gretail Miller, 56, of 528 E. Pine Street, Covington, Virginia, died Thursday, March 26, 2009 at her residence.

She was born May 3, 1952 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late John Henry and Josephine Brown Miller.

Ms. Miller was employed in the Power Department with MeadWestvaco for 30 years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Frieda was preceded in death by her foster parents, Mr and Mrs. George Hill and special family members Stewart White, Sr. and Tessie White.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Joanna Miller of Covington; two grandchildren, Jordan Miller and Jaun Miller, both of Covington; god children: Jonathan Jordan, Jr. and Joshua Jordan; one brother, Walter H. Miller of Covington; four sisters, Delores Merchant of Gala; Jacqueline Hobson and her husband Andrew of Roanoke; Brenda Madison of California and Debbie Barber and her husband, Jimmie of Covington; step brother, Tyrone Hill of Williamsburg; aunts and uncles, Blanche and William Jones of Montgomery, WV and Hester and Harry Austin of Clifton Forge; and a special friend, Myrtle Robison of Covington.

The funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Monday, March 30, 2009 in the Gospel Tabernacle Church of God in Christ with the Rev. Matthew T. Barnette officiating.

The interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at Gospel Tabernacle Church of God in Christ.
