India Claytor Smith, 83, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, March 29, 2008 at her home.
She was born March 8, 1926, daughter of the late Brenard Claytor and Gracie Camden Claytor.
She was a long time member of St. John's United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Albert L. Smith; two daughters: Joyce Smith Henson of Locust Grove, VA; and Karen Smith Wimer of Staunton; one son, Albert L. Smith, Jr. of Roanoke; two sisters: Daisy Brads and Ruby Lawhorne, both of Glasgow; two brothers: Ralph Claytor of Buena Vista and Rudolph Claytor of Glasgow; also, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Pastor John Choi officiating. Burial will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home, Buena Vista, Virginia.
