Mary Gilbert Floyd, 91, of Earlysville, formerly of Buena Vista, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at her home.

Mrs. Floyd was born on May 14, 1917 in Buena Vista and was the daughter of the late Willis Gilbert and Bessie Gilbert.

She was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren in Buena Vista.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton R. Floyd.

Mrs. Floyd is survived by her two sons: Burton R. Floyd, Jr. and wife, Donna of Kentucky; and Galen Floyd and wife, Mary Lou of Earlysville, Virginia; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. David Bain officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Buena Vista.
