John Wayne McCulley, 48, of 417 Lauren Kay Lane, Covington, Virginia, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at his residence.

He was born July 4, 1961 in Wilmington, Delaware, a son of the late Marshall W. and Irene Windsor McCulley.

Mr. McCulley was employed at the Alleghany County Humane Society in Low Moor.

He was a member of the Good News Christian Fellowship Church.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a nephew, Jeremy Scott Tingler.

Surviving are four brothers: Steve McAllister and his wife, Darlene of Low Moor; Richard McCauley and his wife, Carol; Tracey McCauley and his wife, Chrystal and James McCulley and his wife, Jessica, all of Covington; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and his beloved dogs, Rocky and Wendy.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Noel officiating.

The interment will be made in Millboro Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia.
